The Nerve block course held by the personnel of Blockheads LLC (hereinafter referred to as "the Course") is designed to provide education and training in the field of nerve blocks. Participants are advised to carefully read and understand the following disclaimer before enrolling in or participating in any activities associated with the Course.
Assumption of Risk:
Participation in the Course involves inherent risks associated with medical procedures, including but not limited to nerve block techniques and the use of needles. Participants acknowledge and accept these risks, which may include, but are not limited to:
Needlesticks: Participants are exposed to the risk of needlesticks during practical demonstrations and hands-on training. Every effort will be made to minimize these risks through proper training, supervision, and adherence to safety protocols.
Medical Procedures: The Course may involve the demonstration and practice of medical procedures related to nerve blocks. Participants understand that these procedures carry inherent risks, and they agree to undertake them with due diligence and in accordance with the provided instructions.
Animal Welfare: The Course uses meat models to train participants in nerve block techniques. While alternatives to meat models are available and will be used elsewhere in this course, studies have shown there is superiority in imaging, tactical response, and learner satisfaction with meat models. Therefore we have selected this method to provide the best overall experience. Some may have ethical issues with the use of meat models, and may therefore refrain from attendance or this portion of the course.
Sample Block Needles: Sample needles in the Course do not guarantee compatibility with the equipment or protocols used in your specific clinical setting. Local hospitals may have established agreements with other brands for clinical use, and these sample needles may not be compatible with those policies. It is the responsibility of each healthcare professional to select and use sterile needles specifically approved for patient care in their facility, in accordance with established protocols and manufacturer instructions.
